Cobras Stay Winless After Losing to Bruisers in Fight-Filled Game

The Los Angeles Cobras are still looking for their first Arena Football League victory after losing to the undefeated Chicago Bruisers, 46-35, Friday night before a crowd of 8,123 at the Rosemont Horizon in Rosemont, Ill.
In a fight-marred game, the Cobras (0-2) gave up 19 straight points after leading the Bruisers, 29-27, late in the first half. Chicago’s defense dominated the Cobras, allowing only one second-half touchdown.
Cobra quarterback Matt Stevens completed 18 of 31 passes for 195 yards and 3 touchdowns. Chicago defensive back/wide receiver Durwood Roquemore intercepted 3 passes for the second consecutive week, returning one 29 yards for a touchdown.
The Cobra defense was riddled by Chicago quarterback Ben Bennett, who threw for 5 touchdowns, completing 27 of 49 passes for 288 yards.
