Mexican police have captured three of six suspected gunmen who escaped after a foiled bank robbery in northwestern Mexico last week that left five people dead and 15 wounded, said Carina Terrazas, a spokeswoman for the city of Los Mochis, where the 24-hour ordeal unfolded. The gunmen held 42 bank employees and customers hostage overnight on April 21 in a dramatic standoff, much of which was transmitted live over Mexican television. Terrazas said police have recovered the equivalent of $6,000. The arrests were made at the home of a relative of one of the suspects; the three still at large reportedly include the gang leader.
