Cuomo ‘Preparing’ for 3rd 4-Year Term

ALBANY, N.Y. — Gov. Mario M. Cuomo said Tuesday that he is preparing a campaign for a third four-year term in 1990, but he stopped short of actually committing himself to the race.
“It’s too early to talk about things like that, but I’m certainly going to prepare to do that,” the New York Democrat said when asked if he would run for reelection.
“It’s difficult for me to imagine any job that would be as personally fulfilling to me and my family,” Cuomo said during an interview in his state Capitol office.
