New York-based Avon Products said about 200 positions will be eliminated by the end of June from its administrative staff of 2,100. The changes will move decision-making closer to the consumer, shorten lines of communication and increase organizational effectiveness, said Hicks Waldron, Avon’s chairman and chief executive.
