Servite and Crespi to Meet in Football Rematch on Oct. 1
Servite and Crespi high schools have agreed to meet in a nonleague football game Oct. 1 at Orange Coast College.
The game will showcase two of the finest running backs in the state--Derek Brown of Servite and Russell White of Crespi.
It also will be a rematch of the teams’ Big Five Conference quarterfinal game, which was won by Crespi, 45-38, last November.
In that game, Brown rushed 22 times for 216 yards and 4 touchdowns to help him set a single-season school record of 1,483 yards. White had 32 carries for 251 yards and 4 touchdowns.
The teams combined for 761 yards in total offense, and Crespi scored 19 points in the fourth quarter for the victory.
