Mideast Q & A on Gaza, West Bank
As one who follows the fast-moving (and difficult to report) events of the Arab/Palestinian-Israeli imbroglio, I commend your newspaper on its Mideast Q & A two-page summary (Part I, April 3).
Aside from its excellently organized content which I believe was most fairly presented, its timing is ideal in light of Secretary of State George Shultz’s heroic efforts to bring about an interim settlement of the Gaza-West Bank issue through his visits to the area.
I am sure that many thousands of Times readers will be better able to give their informed consent to our secretary’s hopefully successful efforts thanks to your paper’s masterful accomplishment of a tough task.
