Watts Denies Decision on USC
Quincy Watts of Taft High, the defending state champion in the 100 and 200 meters, denied that he has made a verbal commitment to attend USC next fall.
“I haven’t even decided where I’m going to go yet,” said Watts, who also is considering UCLA. “I have a chance to attend both schools and I’m not sure which one I’m going to choose.”
A source close to Watts who asked not to be named told The Times on Thursday that Watts had made a verbal commitment Wednesday to attend USC.
