Nixon on Pardoning North, Poindexter
Isn’t it ironic that Nixon has jumped on the “Pardon Me Boy” express? North hinted that if he went to trial, he would name “higher-ups” and that was the signal for the White House to start the rumors of a pardon for North and Poindexter. It’s quid pro quo : If North does not implicate the President, he will surely get a pardon if convicted. You can bet on it.
And I wonder if Nixon is amazed at the corruption this Administration has gotten away with? When the returns are in, the Reagan bunch will be the new sleaze champs, surpassing Nixon’s gang.
