Local News in Brief : Orange : Motorcyclist Dies in Accident at Off-Ramp

A teen-age motorcyclist speeding in excess of 80 m.p.h. was killed early Wednesday when he crashed at the Chapman Avenue exit of the Costa Mesa Freeway, the California Highway Patrol said.
Jeffrey P. Bauder, 16, of Anaheim was apparently thrown from the motorcycle when it veered onto the shoulder of the off-ramp, according to Michael Lundquist, a Highway Patrol spokesman. Bauder was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lundquist aid that the 1986 Yamaha motorcycle Bauder was riding had been reported stolen.
