A gunman shot and killed two men in a parking lot outside an Altadena bar, then surrendered to an armed security guard, sheriff’s deputies said Monday.
Ismael Sepulvada, 32, opened fire on the two men about 11 p.m. Sunday shortly after “carrying on a friendly conversation” with them at the Pub Bar near the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Woodbury Road, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Dan Cox said.
A security guard confronted Sepulvada and persuaded him to surrender, Cox said. Sheriff’s deputies arrived a short time later and arrested Sepulvada on suspicion of murder.
The identities of the victims were withheld pending notification of relatives.
