Cal Track Team Could Give UCLA Test Today
- Share via
UCLA has won 33 straight dual track and field meets, but Coach Bob Larsen rates today’s meet with California at Drake Stadium as the Bruins’ most difficult test in recent years.
Field events will begin at 1 p.m., the first running event at 2.
The Bears are led by sprinter Atlee Mahorn and hurdler Rod Jett. Cal is also strong in the middle and long distances, long and triple jumps and pole vault.
USC’s men’s and women’s track teams will compete this weekend in the Stanford Invitational at Palo Alto.
