Katella’s Easterly Named Empire’s MVP
Joni Easterly, who led Katella High School to a second straight league title, was named the Empire League’s most valuable player by a vote of the league’s girls’ basketball coaches.
Easterly, a junior, averaged 22.1 points per game to lead the Knights to a 17-9 overall record. The Knights were 10-0 in league play, going undefeated for the second straight year.
