Reagan Pledges Dominican Aid

WASHINGTON — President Reagan pledged today to provide additional assistance to the Dominican Republic, whose economy has been battered by cutbacks in U.S. sugar quotas and assistance.
In farewell remarks in the Rose Garden, Reagan praised the leadership of Dominican President Joaquin Balaguer and said the two leaders had frank discussions on that nation’s troubled economy and other regional problems.
