El Dorado Takes Top Spot in Poll

El Dorado High School, which went 2-0 last week, takes over the top spot of the Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. baseball poll.

Both victories by the Golden Hawks came in a convincing manner. They beat Valencia, 11-4, Tuesday and Loara, 9-2, Friday.

El Dorado replaces Mater Dei as the county’s top-ranked team.
