Simi Rubbish Hauler to Buy Truck Dealer

G.I. Industries, a Simi Valley firm, has agreed to buy Universal Mack Sales and Services, a Southern California truck distributor, with annual sales in excess of $30 million. The purchase price was not disclosed.
G.I. Industries, which is a publicly held rubbish hauler, has also completed the previously announced acquistion of Ever-Ready Drop Box Service, another rubbish firm.
G.I. Industries, which is controlled by the Asadurian family of Moorpark, has said it plans to diversify by acquiring other companies.
