CAMPAIGN ’88 : Citizens Abroad to Vote
Democrats living abroad vote this week in a presidential primary jokingly called Mini Tuesday to select nine delegates to the Democratic National Convention.
Most Democrats who live outside the United States already have cast their votes, on postal ballots to be counted Tuesday in London.
But for the first time, Americans who live in Britain will be able to vote in person Tuesday at London’s Queen Elizabeth II Conference Center, across from historic Westminster Abbey.
The primary is divided into two parts. One ballot is a non-binding presidential preference poll and a second ballot bears the names of 39 Americans from all over the world who are running as delegates.
