Thomas Hearns says he will defend his World Boxing Council middleweight title against Iran Barkley on June 6 at the Las Vegas Hilton. Barkley, 24-4 with 15 knockouts, earned the title fight by stopping Michael Olajide in the fifth round March 6. He was ranked No. 8 by the WBC before that fight.
