A 17-year-old Grossmont High School student who was stabbed in the back after track practice was listed in good condition Wednesday at Sharp Memorial Hospital, authorities said.
Police said that the victim had just completed track practice shortly after 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, and was walking to his car when he was attacked and stabbed in the lower left back.
A 15-year-old Grossmont student was arrested in connection with the stabbing on Tuesday night in the 1400 block of Graves Street, police said.
The motive for the stabbing is unknown, police said.
