The Athletics Congress, the national governing body for track and field, joined hammer thrower Bill Green in his appeal of a positive drug test during last summer’s Pan American Games in Indianapolis.
TAC officials said that their investigation of Green’s case revealed “substantial questions concerning the accuracy of the drug-testing results.”
Green, 27, of Torrance, finished second in the hammer throw but was stripped of his silver medal after a drug test revealed he had a greater ratio of the male hormone testosterone to epitestosterone than allowed under international rules.
