Local News in Brief : Community Council Vote
All adult residents in the square mile around the USC campus are eligible to vote in Saturday’s election to choose a board of directors for a new neighborhood council that is intended to work to improve the area.
There is to be a polling place for each of the five districts formed within the overall council zone, which is bounded by Washington Boulevard on the north, Vernon Avenue on the south, Central Avenue on the east and Western Avenue on the west. Potential voters can call USC’s Office of Civic and Community Relations for information about their appropriate polling place. Voting will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
