Wants the Bistro Garden Restaurant
As a Valley resident for over 30 years and a member of the Sherman Oaks Homeowner Assn., I was appalled to read (Feb. 19) that the world-famous Bistro Garden Restaurant might be turned down by the state Alcoholic Beverage Control Board for a liquor license at Coldwater Canyon and Ventura boulevards because of community opposition. A resident was quoted as saying that she did not want drunks in her neighborhood. This is pure fiction!
We as Valley residents should be excited that a world-class restaurant would come to the Valley. With the Bistro Garden in Studio City, people would not have to travel over the hill to have a great meal. This would also reduce traffic and congestion on Coldwater Canyon to Beverly Hills.
This is our chance as Valley residents to have some class and not be the continual stepchild of the Westside.
I am writing a letter to the ABC Board to say, “I want my Bistro Garden.”
