APPLAUSE FROM MOORE FAN
What a pleasure to read Jack Miles’ article: “Irish Woman, Over 40, Weeping” (The Book Review, Jan. 31).
I am a longtime fan of Brian Moore and have always believed him to be one of the finest of contemporary writers. To see this acknowledged with sensitivity and intelligence renews the faith.
Miles is right when he advises anyone who has not read “The Lonely Passion of Judith Hearne” to consider buying the book. And treat yourself to “The Feast of Lupercal” and “The Luck of Ginger Coffey” while you’re at it!
