Heavyweight Champion Mike Tyson Is Married to Actress Robin Givens

NEW YORK — Mike Tyson, the 21-year-old heavyweight boxing champion, married actress Robin Givens Sunday in Chicago, Jimmy Jacobs, Tyson’s co-manager, said Monday night.
The marriage took place after the NBA All-Star game, which Tyson attended. Jaccobs said he was informed of the marriage Monday morning.
Givens, of Los Angeles, appears in the ABC-TV series “Head of the Class.” She is 22 years old.
“I didn’t know he was going to get married,” Jacobs told the Albany Times Union. “I’m surprised, because I would usually know about something like this. He’s going to be (in New York) soon, and I’m going to ask him a lot of questions.
“I’m a little surprised, but in a way I expected it, too. I know he was in love with Robin. Maybe it’ll settle Mike down.”
