County Provides Recorded Help on Small Claims Court Methods
LOS ANGELES — A system that provides recorded Small Claims Court information 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to callers from a touch-tone telephone has been added to services already provided by the county’s small claims advisers.
Callers from rotary telephones may obtain information and assistance between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on normal business days.
The new system is designed to supplement existing services. A small claims adviser is available to provide in-person or telephone counseling to litigants during normal business hours.
The Sprogram is part of the services offered by the county Department of Consumer Affairs. Callers may reach the information line on 974-9759. Additional information may be obtained by calling the county Department of Consumer Affairs at 974-1452.
