Father of Babbitt Dies

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Paul Babbitt, father of Democratic presidential candidate and former Arizona Gov. Bruce Babbitt, died at his home Sunday at the age of 89. Babbitt, who had been battling a long illness, was one of the leaders of a family ranching and mercantile empire that once stretched from California to Kansas.
