Sea View League : Free Throws Lift Tustin to Victory

Leo Parker made two free throws with 18 seconds left to lift Tustin High School to a 43-41 victory over Corona del Mar Friday in a Sea View League boys’ basketball league game at Corona del Mar.
Parker was open under the basket and about to make a layup with 20 seconds left when he was grabbed by a Corona del Mar player who was called for an intentional foul with Corona del Mar leading, 41-40. Parker made both shots. Tustin led, 42-41, and retained possession with 18 seconds left.
Tustin inbounded the ball into B. LeSean London, who was fouled and made the front end of a one-and-one but missed the second shot. Corona del Mar got the rebound but missed a last-second shot.
Tustin is 17-3 overall and 4-0 and in first place in league. Corona del Mar is 10-8, 1-3.
Estancia 58, University 50--Mike Curtis scored 17 points to lead the Eagles (13-8, 2-2) at University. Tim Kjar and Augustin Heredia each had 15 points for Estancia. Steve Stolzoff scored 13 points and Stephan Mumaw 11 for the Trojans (7-10, 1-3).
Saddleback 65, Newport Harbor 54--Gylan Dottin scored 20 points and his brother Malru Dottin 11 for visiting Saddleback (15-3, 3-1). Tony Agnew scored 13 and Craig Marshall 12 for Saddleback. Jim Geerling scored 12, Drew Sheward 10, Tyler Koon 10 and Mike Nguyen 10 for Newport Harbor (13-7, 1-3).
