Datametrics said it was awarded the largest contract in its 25-year history, a $7.8-million order to provide Magnavox with about 350 military printers.
The printers will be part of a communications-equipment package called Regency Net, which Magnavox is supplying to the U.S. armed forces, principally the Army. Production of the printers is expected to begin in May and continue through 1989.
Datametrics, a Chatsworth-based concern that mainly produces durable printers for the military, said the latest contract lifted the value of its total backlog to more than $36 million, also a record for the company.
