Local News in Brief : Fountain Valley : Chamber to Host Event to Meet Public Officials

The Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce will hold a public reception today to give residents an opportunity to meet judges, school board trustees, the City Council, county supervisors and state legislators.
The gathering will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Carmel Retirement Village, 17077 San Mateo St. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres, champagne and chamber music will be offered.
Federal lawmakers will not be attending, though a representative for Rep. Robert E. Badham (R-Newport Beach) is planning to be there, according to a chamber spokesman, who said that confirmations of attendance have been received from state Sen. John Seymour (R-Anaheim), Assemblyman Nolan Frizzelle (R-Huntington Beach), Supervisor Roger R. Stanton, County Clerk Gary Granville and County Recorder Lee Branch.
