Syria Foreign Minister Back From Saudi Visit

DAMASCUS, Syria — Foreign Minister Farouk Shareh of Syria has returned from his second visit to Saudi Arabia in a week.
The Syrian news agency SANA said Friday that he delivered a message from Syrian President Hafez Assad to King Fahd on a one-day visit to Riyadh. It gave no details.
However, Shareh is widely believed to be attempting to find a way to end the Iran-Iraq War.
