In Football, Bruins Are Pac-10 Co-Champions

I was miffed, as I’m sure were other USC football followers to the Dec. 20 article by Tracy Dodds regarding the Aloha Bowl. In the Bruin notes, she called the ’87 UCLA football team the co-champions of the Pac-10.

True, USC and UCLA finished with identical 7-1 conference records. However, that final showdown game did indeed indicate who was Pac-10 champion and runner-up.
