Winter Storm Slams Into Turkey; 19 Die

ISTANBUL, Turkey — A winter storm swept Turkey with heavy snow and 56-m.p.h. winds Friday, and the bad weather was blamed for 19 deaths, including 13 killed when two buses collided, state radio reported.
The storm knocked down power lines, cutting power to 200 villages in six eastern provinces, and blocked roads as it spread snow from Istanbul to the Soviet frontier.
