Joyner-Kersee Honored Again

HONOLULU — Jackie Joyner-Kersee, world record-holder in the heptathlon and co-record-holder in the women’s long jump, was named winner of the Jesse Owens Memorial Award Saturday night for the second straight year.
Edwin Moses, Carl Lewis, Greg Foster and Michael Conley were also nominated for the award, given to U.S. track and field’s outstanding performer. The voting was not disclosed.
