Times Mirror has announced changes in the corporate responsibilities of several Times Mirror vice presidents, effective Jan. 1.
Stender E. Sweeney will add to his duties oversight for corporate communications and investor relations functions. As vice president-finance, he will have continued responsibility for the treasury and budgeting/forecasting departments.
Donald S. Kellermann, vice president-public affairs, who usually provides supervision for these activities, will be spending a significant amount of time during 1988 at the company’s New York and Washington offices directing “The People, the Press & Politics” program and other projects associated with next year’s national elections.
Edward E. Johnson, vice president of planning and development, will assume responsibility for the corporate oversight of Jeppesen Sanderson Inc. in Denver, succeeding Charles I. Schneider, Times Mirror’s group vice president. Schneider will retire on Jan. 1 after a 22-year career at Times Mirror. Johnson will also add to his present duties the new post of secretary to Times Mirror’s management committee.
