Local News in Brief : New Hotel on Old Site

The developers of the Huntington Hotel project in Pasadena have signed an agreement with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. to manage a “four-star” luxury establishment at the site.
The developer, Gemtel Corp., plans to demolish the 80-year-old hotel and replace it with a similar-looking modern structure. Atlanta-based Ritz-Carlton, which operates five hotels around the country, expects to begin managing the new Ritz-Carlton Pasadena in 1990.
