Murray Pleads Not Guilty to Drug Charges
SAN DIEGO — Gerald Murray, the center suspended from the San Diego State basketball team, pleaded not guilty to drug charges Thursday during an arraignment in San Diego Municipal Court.
Murray is charged with three counts of selling cocaine and three counts of possessing cocaine for sale in connection with four incidents over the past four months.
The two most recent incidents, on Nov. 21 and Nov. 24, involved the alleged sale of about a gram of cocaine to a San Diego undercover police officer, said Douglas C. Gregg, San Diego County deputy district attorney.
Further proceedings in the case are set for Dec. 21.
