Los Angeles : University Remodeling
Vendors for the Varsity Bookstore and food services at California State University, Los Angeles, are remodeling and expanding services at a cost of about $350,000.
A new fast food area called Pumperknikles is being built on the first level of the University-Student Union, replacing a clothing store. The former faculty lounge will become a restaurant that serves lunch, and a restaurant called The Pub will be renamed Newbauer’s and will serve specialty foods. Walt Miller, director of auxiliary services, said the union will feature continuous displays of student art.
Miller said a post office branch and a copy center are being added to the bookstore.
