Robbers Strap Bomb to Man in Post Office Heist
Reuters
DUBLIN, Ireland — Gunmen strapped a radio-controlled bomb around the waist of a Dublin man on Tuesday to force him to take part in a post office robbery, police said.
The man was one of six hostages held overnight in a suburban house by three gunmen. He was made to drive with the owner of the post office to collect $24,000 and then leave it in an abandoned car.
The thieves fled with the money, and police called in army bomb-disposal experts to defuse the explosive device.
