Home Prices Down 10%

WASHINGTON — A second straight month of declining new-home sales during October drove the average home price down 10%, from $136,100 in September to $122,400 last month, the government reported today. The overall 1.5% sales drop hit the higher-priced Northeastern region particularly hard and followed a revised 2.8% fall in September sales.
