A Security Pacific Bank branch at Valley View Street and Lampson Avenue was robbed just before it closed at 4 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said.
It was the second bank robbery in the city in two days, Police Lt. Scott Hamilton said, adding that the suspect walked in as bank employees were about to lock the doors.
Hamilton said the robber approached a teller, handed her a note asking for money, then fled with an unknown amount of cash. He was last seen driving a gray Toyota pickup truck that was determined to have been stolen in Santa Ana, Hamilton said.
He described the suspect as a white male in his late 30s with short brown hair. Witnesses told police that the suspect was about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighed about 180 pounds.
