Locked Up With the Czech

Rose Styron’s review of Eva Kanturkova’s novel “My Companions in the Bleak House” (The Book Review, Nov. 22) contains a seriously myopic omission: the name of the translator. So as to appreciate the translator’s importance, Styron’s penance should consist of writing her next review of a translated book locked in a room with just the original.
