A newborn girl left on a Chula Vista doorstep was reported in good condition Thursday at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego as police continued to search for the infant’s parents.
Felicidad Aqino discovered the baby wrapped in a towel inside a cardboard box after she answered her doorbell at 6 p.m. Wednesday. No one was seen fleeing from the Arbor Creek Lane home.
Hospital officials said the baby was less than 24 hours old when found and weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces.
