Local News in Brief : Drug Trial Fugitive Caught
A reputed Gambino crime family member who is alleged to be one of New York City’s biggest heroin traffickers has been arrested by federal authorities at a hotel in Los Angeles two months after skipping trial, prosecutors said Friday.
When he fled, Mark Reiter, 39, was standing trial with 10 others on charges of being part of a ring that brought hundreds of pounds of heroin into the New York area. Sources said a tip led federal authorities to Reiter.
