Local News in Brief : Pacoima Man Held in Roommate’s Slaying
- Share via
An argument over a game of pool left one man dead in a Pacoima bar and his roommate under arrest on suspicion of murder, Los Angeles police said Thursday.
Jesus Garcia, 29, of Pacoima, was shot repeatedly in the upper body about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and died on the floor of the Nopolito Cafe at 13376 Van Nuys Boulevard, police said.
Police said witnesses led investigators to suspect Garcia’s roommate, Faustino Ramos, 35. Shortly after the shooting, police found Ramos at a home in Pacoima, where he was arrested. Ramos had a gun in his possession, Detective Al Ferrand said. Ramos was being held at the Foothill Division jail without bail.
