Fred Croton

I have known and worked with Fred Croton and cannot understand the action taken by Mayor Tom Bradley to fire him (as head of Los Angeles’ Cultural Affairs Department).
Most recently, Croton on the shortest of notice assembled a wonderful art day for the homeless children who were living in the Dust Bowl on Santa Fe Street.
His extraordinary ability to deal with people both inside and outside of the Department of Cultural Affairs was evident on that day and on many other occasions.
