Careening N.Y. Bus Injures 47

NEW YORK — A city bus, struck by a car, careened into a Brooklyn grocery store early today, shattering the storefront and injuring at least 47 people, two seriously, police said.
The accident occurred at about 7:30 a.m. when a car hit the bus on the driver’s side, forcing the bus onto the sidewalk at Marcy and Gates avenues in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant section, Detective Joseph McConville said.
