Dome Petroleum Ltd. said its board accepted a sweetened $4.19-billion takeover bid by Amoco Corp., an offer analysts and executives forecast would meet the complaints of Dome’s many creditors. The acquisition of Toronto-based Dome by the U.S. company’s subsidiary, Amoco Canada Petroleum Co., had been deadlocked for seven months as creditors withheld approval of the initial $3.8-billion offer.
