The Dodgers made several changes in their scouting assignments. In the major move, Eddie Bane, formerly with the Cleveland Indians, was appointed a special assignment scout and will serve as a national cross-checker.
The new assignments: Bill Pleis, Florida area scout; Mike Hankins, parts of the Midwest; Joe Campbell, Alabama and other parts of the South; Deni Pacini, Northern California, and Dominick Christy, Pennsylvania.
Paul Duval, who handled the territory now assigned to Pleis, is retiring, and Tony John will become a part-time scout in Campbell’s area.
