Fewer government orders caused EIP Microwave to report net income of $310,000 for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, a 14% drop from the $361,000 earned in the preceding year. Net sales fell 7% to $18.8 million from $20.2 million last year. The Newport Beach maker of microwave testing and measuring instruments posted net income of $106,000 for its fourth quarter, a 17% drop from last year’s $127,000. Net sales declined 33%, to $3.7 million in the final quarter from $5.5 million last year.
