The City Council has decided to hire an Irvine-based design company to create a master plan for renovation of Morgan Park, the city’s largest park.
The $28,500 plan by RJM Design Inc. will focus on upgrading existing facilities and developing two acres that the city hopes to acquire east of the park, which is at Ramona Boulevard and Morgan Street.
Construction has begun on a $2.9-million East Valley Boys and Girls Club and community center in the park.
