Liz Claiborne has been named chairman and chief executive of Liz Claiborne Inc., New York. She has been president since 1976. Arthur Ortenberg and Jerome A. Chazen, who had been co-chairmen, have been named to the new posts of vice chairmen. The position of CEO also is new.
